Lode automatically generates and installs a trusted local root certificate, giving all your local services a secure padlock in the browser with zero effort. Through its simple GUI, you can map any local port to a clean .test domain (e.g., my-api.test), and Lode handles all the host file management and proxying for you. Its standout feature, "Upstream Fallback," lets you run only the service you're working on (like your frontend) and intelligently forwards requests for other services (like your API) to your real staging environment.
